Compliance with the Australian Standard AS 1973-1993 is mandatory and the tyres must bear the retreader’s name, retreading date, and the speed limit at which they are safe to operate.

Yes, commercial tyres can be regrooved helping to extend the life of the tyre before it undergoes the retread process. In addition to creating your tyres sharp biting edges and a tread depth of between 6 to 8mm, regrooving extends their lifespan and increases safety. Regrooving has the ability to provide up to 25% more mileage and reduces fuel consumption, helping your hip pocket. Regrooving is not recommended if the tread shows signs of major damage.
